Guide Danny Uhlmann called today at 1pm from 18,000 feet on Illimani! He said, "We're all at High Camp now and will be going for the summit tomorrow. There's currently a nice high ceiling of cumulus clouds overhead - we're hoping they disappate at sunset so we can see the lights of La Paz again tonight. Our camp is on a rock ridge between two glaciers and is a nice spot. Our route to the summit, the Ruta Normal, looks like it is in great condition. It's a nice direct route to the summit, and we're looking forward to climbing it. We are also excited for the post-climb feast of lamb and beer! We'll be in touch."
