Bolivia Expedition #2: June 30 - July 21, 2007 July 13, 2007 We heard again from Danny today around 1pm. He let us know that today the team decided to go for a hike after breakfast. They decided on Peak Austria, which is the same height as Pyramida Blanca (around 17,200 feet) but non-technical. They had beautiful weather, though there was lots of snow on the trail to the summit. It was a fun and laid back day all around. Danny and Rob had fun on the way down, and glissaded down scree in a steep gully. When they returned to camp, they had a lunch avocado, cucumber, and tuna sandwiches with watermelon. Kurt is making a home video, so he has been interviewing all the team members one by one. Other than that, they are hanging out in the sun! Tomorrow, the team plans on meeting the llamas at 7:30am for the hike out of the valley and the drive to La Paz. On Sunday morning, they will be heading in to climb Huayna Potosi. | |
