Bolivia Expedition #1: June 2 - 23, 2007

June 8, 2007
The team is now back in La Paz after a great trek. Here is a dispatch and pictures from guide Andrew Wexler:

Newsflash! Team Gran Poder has returned from the Taquesi Trek and is now enjoying the good life in La Paz. I am happy to report that all members of The Team are strong and healthy and are eagerly awaiting the next phase of the trip.

Since last we spoke, The Team dropped down in to the Amazon Basin and enjoyed a lovely evening camped next to the Takesi River (6500 feet). Many Team members engaged in various water-based activities, and fun was had by all. The following day we hiked a mellow 45 minutes to the town of Chojlla, where our trusty driver, Herman, was eagerly awaiting us. The drive back to La Paz was truly exhilarating as Herman deftly navigated the tight, windy, and precipitous roads.

That's it for now.

Next stop: Condoriri Valley.

Hasta Luego,

Gran Poder
