Andrew Yasso
Andrew has sacrificed his career as a male model in order to climb.
Basics
I have a Bachelors of Applied Arts in Outdoor Recreation from Central Michigan University. I'm super into table tennis, FPS video games, mountain biking, and climbing. My favorite book is the Bible (by God), followed by man's search for meaning (by Viktor Frankl). I can appreciate and enjoy all kinds of music, but have the hardest time finding the appeal of country.
Personal Geography
I was born in Michigan, grew up in Hong Kong, went to college in Michigan, and moved to Bellingham, Washington in January 2010.

Proudest Climbing Achievement
Realizing that I am my worst critic and enemy while on the rock, and the only limits to my climbing, are the ones I set on myself.
Proudest Personal Achievement
Maintaining my faith and a quality relationship with my family.
Guiding Geography
Washington, Canada and Alaska.
Climbing Philosophy
Get After it
Favorite Climbing Destination
Bugaboos, BC Canada
Favorite Style of Climbing
Alpine. Anything that requires all my climbing skills to achieve a single objective and pushes me to ask more from myself than I think I have.
Most Rewarding Moment as an AAI Guide
Half way up the West Buttress of Denali, after listening to a spirited commentary on why one of my climbers loved what he was doing, I realized why I want to work on mountains like these. I donŐt guide because I like to climb, I guide because I love to watch other people who like to climb.
