Featured Programs For Summer of 2012
Leaders of Tomorrow
AAI's introductory mountaineering program for teenagers uses climbing and outdoor adventure to teach good judgment and decision making. Students learn to think strategically and inspire others to action, while acquiring solid technical skills on rock, snow, and glaciers. Courses run for 12 or 24 days.
Learn to Lead
Free yourself from that annoying top-rope! In this course, gym leaders and outdoor top-rope climbers learn the nuances of gear placement and protection systems. Offered year-round in the Southwest and during the summer months in Washington and British Columbia.
Alpinism 1 Course
Summer is the perfect season to learn alpine and glacier climbing. Join a 6-Day Alpinism 1 Course or a 12-day Alpine Mountaineering and Leadership Course in the spectacular North Cascades of Washington. Learn climbing technique for rock & ice, safe glacier travel procedures, mountaineering leadership, and climb to the summit of major peaks.
Denali in 2013
Register early for a Denali Expedition if you hope to join one of our 2013 programs. AAI's safety and success rates are the best on the mountain. If you're a Seven Summits aspirant, dial in your skills this summer with one of the courses in our 7 Summits Training Curriculum.
Climb Aconcagua
Join one of our 2012-2013 Aconcagua Expeditions to climb the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. Take advantage of AAI's 28-year history guiding on the mountain and our unmatched record of summit success.
Summer Ice Climbing

The Coleman Icefall on Mount Baker, WA, offers spectacular ice cragging just a couple hours from the trailhead. Join us for a six-day Intro to Alpine Ice that culminates with a climb of the North Ridge, one of the best alpine ice climbs in the country.
