Upcoming and Current Trips
AMGA
AAI is the longest accredited
guide service in the US.
Featured Programs For Fall / Winter of 2011
Ecuador's Volcanoes

Join one of our High Altitude Expeditions to climb Chimborazo (20,703') and other major volcanoes and you'll enjoy haciendas and great food between climbs. Other possible ascents include Cayambe (18,997'), Cotopaxi (19,348'), Antisana (18,874').
Desert Rock Climbing
Try rock climbing for the first time or build your skills on the stunning sandstone formations of Red Rock near Las Vegas, NV, or the warm granite of Joshua Tree, California. For more advanced climbers, we offer Learn to Lead and AMGA Single Pitch Instructor courses in both locations.
Avalanche Training
Sliding on snow can be like paradise, but don't let the snow slide on you. For all backcountry travelers, we offer our Avalanche 1 course and an annual one-day refresher. To take your skills further, add the Avalanche 2 program.
Denali / Mt. McKinley
Register now for a Denali Expedition if you hope to join one of our 2012 programs. AAI's safety and success rates are the best on the mountain. If you need some additional cold weather or expedition skills training, join our Denali Prep programs in the Cascades in March and April.
Climb Aconcagua
Join one of our 2011-2012 Aconcagua Expeditions to climb the highest peak in the Western Hemisphere. Take advantage of AAI's 28-year history guiding on the mountain and our unmatched record of summit success.
Ice Climbing in Ouray, CO

The Ouray Ice Park is probably the best outdoor classroom in the US for learning ice climbing in a forgiving environment (read: "50 yards to the hot tub"). We offer private and group classes for beginners and experts alike.
